Bidding Process

NorCal State Builders Inc. is committed to providing our clients with the best service and pricing in the industry. In an effort to make estimates easy for our clients, we base small jobs and change work orders on our "transparent pricing" matrix listed below. Our bid will have an estimate of time and materials based on these categories of pricing. At the end of a job, you will have a full accounting of hours and a material list with receipts. We do not charge an overage for materials, but we do charge to pickup and deliver if required. 

This style of Estimates and Invoicing typically saves our clients 10-20% when compared to other construction companies and provides our clients with a clear understanding of their cost prior to starting a project.  

Our estimates will include a breakdown of labor expectations along with a price. These estimates are based on our experience with similar jobs. We typically have a buffer in the estimate to cover unforeseen issues. If an unforeseen issue occurs resulting in more time than expected, these changes will be presented to and approved by the client prior to invoicing. We do our best to get the estimates as close as possible to the eventual invoice. 

Material & Equipment cost is tracked by receipts and is billed to the client with no overages charged. If pickup/delivery is required, we charge basic labor rates and travel expenses. All Invoicing will have a detailed breakdown of material cost accompanied by receipts and labor charges. 

Labor charges billed at two hour minimums and thirty minute increments thereafter. After hour and emergency service billed at four hour minimum and 1.5x current rate. If overtime is required, it will be disclosed to and approved by the client prior to commencement and will be will be billed at 1.5x current rate.
